English/Language Arts
1. Go over the high frequency word list (not, black, at, her, will, his): Have your student read the words aloud, practice writing them, go over the word meanings, and find the words on their talkers
2. Read "What does Paris Hear?
3. Go around your home with your child and make the different sounds that Paris hears throughout the story (i.e. turn on your faucet just enough to drip water, ask if the sound is loud or quiet, then turn on your faucet all the way, ask if the sound is loud or quiet). For the bee sound, you can youtube "bees buzzing" or mimic the sound yourself. For the drums, have kids bang on the table or use pots and pans.
4. Complete the "What happens in the story: Sorting Loud and Quiet Sounds worksheet" If you student is struggling, go through and make the different sounds again as you sort the visuals on the paper.

1. Complete Number Sense 15, Level 2 (Adding to 20 Vertical)-All 4 pages

2. Read "What does Paris Hear?
3. Ask a wh question after your student reads each page. (i.e. Who hear the sound? What did she hear? Where is she?) If your student is struggling, utilize the visuals on their communication device for each wh word to help.
4. Complete the 2nd high frequency fill in the blank worksheet. This activity involves your student choosing the correct word based on the context and grammar in the sentence. If it is difficult, give your child 2 or 3 answer choices for each question.

1. Complete Number Sense 19, Level 2 (Subtracting to 10) Stapled Packet
2. Play this subtraction starfall game.
Additional
1. Watch our principal, Mrs. Smith make play doh! If you have the ingredients at home, you can make play doh too. :)
